The fuser unit that you want to reset must be in good condition and not jammed with paper or other materials. If the fuser unit had any print defects or paper jams and you have a 980 fatal error message the reset solution will not clear this message. .
The fuser reset kit will not reset the toner level, the transfer belt or any of the imaging drums !
