You can use the following test pages to reduce the amount of toner left in your cartridge (by colour).
The "full colour" pages are also useful for checking if your cartridge is suffering from any printing issues - prior to refill. Print defects will normally appear as lines, dots, spots or smudges which will repeat at intervals down the page.
To reduce the amount of toner left in a colour cartridge - choose the colour you wish to use up i.e. Magenta - download the "magenta page" and print until the Magenta colour starts to fades from the page. This will make emptying the cartridge less messy.
Which colour cartridge is low on toner?
If you have overriden the chip on a cartridge, it can be difficult to tell which colour is then low on toner
Use the Color Fade page to help determine which cartridge needs to be refilled colour fade
Print the page a number of times until the fade out is clearly visible
Black fading - Black is low
Blue fading - Cyan is low
Blue and Orange fading - Magenta is low
Yellow and Orange - Yellow is low
